I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
Monday, January 19th is recognized as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. You will not have school on Monday, so I would like you to take the time leading up to this national holiday to reflect on the hard work others are doing to make America a great nation where equality is valued and discrimination is not tolerated.
What does equality mean to you? Take time to reflect on Dr. King’s powerful words.
