Why read?

Our students at LFES recently had the chance to express their thoughts on the importance of reading by creating READ posters to display throughout our library media center. The winning posters in grades 2-5 are displayed above.

Now we want to know what you think! In your own words, why is reading important?

Students, parents, and teachers, your voice counts! Let us know what you think!

To Blog, or Not to Blog? …that is the question!

We’ve been blogging for about a month now and I think it’s time we expand our blogging group. Anyone can comment on our blog as long as they have the blog’s URL (website address), but only a few students will be joining us during recess to write new posts, interview teachers, and discuss big events going on around our school.

And so we reach our big question of the day: Why blog? In what ways can members of an online community benefit from being able to share their ideas and their voice with other technology users in the school, the community, and around the globe?

Click on “Post a Comment” and let the world know why blogging is important.
